National Clamps Training - SIA Training
In
order to obtain an SIA licence you will need to show that
you are trained to the right level. This applies to front-line
staff only. In setting standards for training we have taken
into account the changing roles of those already employed
in the industry and the requirements for new skills and knowledge.
To get the SIA qualification for vehicle immobilisers you
will need to attend a two part training course and take and
pass two exams. The course may be delivered over 5 days or
during weekends and/or evening sessions.
Training
is delivered in two parts as follows:
Part
1 - Knowledge based training
and assessment (21 hours)
Part 2
- Practical scenario based training and assessment (14 hours)
LICENCE
RENEWALS AND TRAINING
The
qualifications linked to SIA licensing will remain current
for licensing purposes until we change our core competency
specifications. We will be doing this in time for the sixth
year of vehcile immobiliser licensing (which corresponds with
the second round of licence renewals for the security guarding
sectors). Until we do so, you will not need to undergo refresher
training or undertake a new qualification when renewing your
existing licence. |
