ANPR - What is it?

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) is the new service offered by National Clamps. Every vehicle entering or leaving a private car park is detected by a motion detector built into the CCTV camera. Using AVPR/ANPR (Automatic Vehicle Plate Recognition/Automatic Number Plate Recognition software). The camera records the image and cross references the number plate against its Database. By accessing the web, the Database has a ‘permitted vehicles’ option for staff which can be ‘added to’ and ‘removed from’ by the customer.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition offered by National Clamps:

Clients that use National Clamps Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) service can set the criteria, for example, for Maximum Stay by the minute from 01 to 999. They can also give temporary permission live and online! If a vehicle has been granted permission the image is dismissed and removed.

However, if there is a vehicle that does not have permission or has exceeded the allocated time for that site, an SMS message is sent to the nearest Vehicle Immobiliser who will then attend the site.
